Another week has flown by! School is still going well! I am happy to be useful! Jeannie came down from Arua for a doctor's check up, it was so good to see her! She had a lot of exciting news about things in Arua. The team up there is in the process of making contacts in the community to start WGM's ministry in Arua. It is so exciting! They have met with many people on the city council, even the Mayor, and they are working together to create new programs to better the city. They were told they will go down in the books for the first Missions organization that has actually asked the city how they could help, instead of just doing their own thing! One program they want us to help with is teaching sex edu and AIDS/HIV awareness to the secondary school. They want WGM to help create the curriculum in which we can base on Biblical beliefs! I am looking forward to helping any way I can, although I don't have much experience starting a mission field ;) I was hired for my first "job" in Uganda. I was asked to babysit for a family from the school. Little did I know there was going to be 8 kids under the age of 7....which included two one year olds ;) Needless to say it was an experience! And it confirmed that my limit is three ;) hahaha.
Right now as I write it is raining harder than I have ever seen!! We are in the library and I think we will be stuck here for a while ;) It rains nearly everyday, but then the sun comes out and it is beautiful!!
Leeann and I plus another couple went out for Japanese Saturday night, it was good! The restaurants here are so cool, all outdoors and awesome atmosphere! Sunday night we had a 5th Sunday Mexican themed dinner, which is a favorite around here, so I enjoy that! I am ready for some Ugandan food though ;)
This will be our last week to kind of relax, because the group is coming in Friday night. It should be fun, we have 5 girls staying with us, so I won't be the new girl anymore ;) Things will be busy, but fun!
Oh last night I won my first game of Settlers of Catan...it is a miracle! Really I have played nearly 15 times and finally won! Good times!
We have a holiday on Tuesday!! That means more shopping and taking the MKs to the pool, it should be fun!

Wow Amber! Sounds like things are going well in Africa. I am so glad that you are getting to go to different churches; I loved that part of my time in Ghana and wished I could have done it more. I am praying for you and hoping that your time is continually blessed. Thanks for keeping us updated!!!
